DEDICATED TO THE SKATEBOARDERS OF NORTH VANCOUVER
We’re grateful for the terrific opportunity to be involved in making the #mahonskateplaza in North Vancouver a reality. Through your purchases and loyal support of our brand, we've been able to continue our goal of supporting Canadian Skateboarding by upgrading skateparks and spots.
The #rdsgranite installation at Mahon is our largest yet and more skateparks and skate spots will continue to receive benches.
As well as the resurrection of our #rdsbarriers!
We take great pride in being able to dedicate the new park to the skateboarders of North Vancouver who have supported us since we opened our first shop off Lonsdale in 1996.
The skate plaza will be a permanent feature in Mahon Park with opportunities for all skill levels. It features a simple, street-focused design links together well-spaced obstacles.
In early 2022, Council approved a proposal for a skate area at Mahon Park for the community to use during construction of the new HJCRC.
In May, we engaged with skateboard community members and residents on preliminary design concepts. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback at the design workshop and through the online survey. Your input helped create the final plan.
The ribbon cutting with the mayor happened on September 28th and the park is now fully open to the public to enjoy!
Thanks for your support!
