Nothing like a sunny day in the park! In this week's FSU Fridays we caught up with Micky Papa at Burnaby B.C.'s Bonsor Skatepark. Taking no less than 45 minutes to hammer out this edit, Micky reminds us why he's one of our favourites to watch.
There is no denying it; Jason Ellis is a legend! Recently, Ellis hooked up with Fender to create a one of a kind RDS X Fender Squire Showmaster. Super exclusive and limited in numbers, if you were lucky enough to get your hands on one, you may think about mounting on the wall like we have!
Our friends at Tiki Room/Sk8 Regina have announced that their indoor park - the longest standing of it's kind in Canada - has been forced to close its doors to make way for a new football stadium. First launched as a pilot project with the City of Regina, the park has been providing skateboarders with a place to escape the long prairie winters since 1997.
Tiki Room owner/SK8 Regina president Noel Wendt reports that their organization is working hard with the City to find a new suitable location, and we wish them the best of luck in their search.
Putting a new spin on things, Darkstar has released a remix of Ryan Decenzo’s recent Forward Slash part. Proving once again why he’s become one of the biggest names in the game, if Ryan’s original segment did not blow your mind first time you saw it, it sure will now!
With our Red Dragon's Next Top Model contest over and the winner declared, it's time to get shooting! Hard at work on our Vancouver set, Alexa G. is wearing the RDS Bikini Lights bottoms. Make sure to check our Facebook page because there is much more from the shoot to come.
“Questionable remains one of those sacred-type of videos for an entire generation and your part was definitely among its highlights. I imagine filming for that was already in progress when you got on, right?
Yeah, filming was in progress. I filmed for about 3 months on that one. And it’s funny because when you’re a kid, 3 months is good. Like if someone came up to me right now and told me that I had 3 months to film, I might get 3 tricks. But when you’re a kid and you don’t ever film, you have so much shit that’s ready to go. You’re just dying to get out there…too bad I’ve been fucking filming for 20-years straight now.
But honestly, I wasn’t that psyched on my Questionable part. I was much more psyched on Virtual Reality, that part was more me. Out skating with the homies in the streets all day, filming. That was more true to what we were doing at the time. I was so little during Questionable that people would basically tell me things to do and I’d do them.”

In this episode we stop in at Vancouver's new UBC campus skatepark and North Van's Lonsdale park with Paul Machnau, with a couple of guest appearances by John Hanlon and Ryan Oughton.
Make sure you turn this clip up to full blast in memory of Slayer's Jeff Hanneman, who passed away yesterday at the young age of 49. Slayer has always had a huge influence on Paul and skateboarding in general, and we're positive that Jeff's playing will continue to inspire skateboarders for generations to come. Rest in Peace, Hanneman.
Red Dragon Apparel's Sales Manager, Rory Macdonald, is out on the road in eastern Canada right now visiting our accounts with our road reps Louis Samoisette (pictured left) and Dave Larkin. Follow @rorymac_ on Twitter and Instagram to see his pictures along the way. Tons of photos of our accounts, making travel enemies, run-ins with cops, chick fights... not bad for the first 3 days!
In this edition of FSU Fridays we take a look at OG Red Dragon Syd Clark and his new store Menu Skateboard Shop. Since the beginning Syd has been an integral part of RDS Skate Supply, the RDS Skatepark and Red Dragon Apparel.
